Paper Gift Voucher Notice

As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline and modernise our operations, we will discontinue the acceptance of our old style paper gift vouchers by 1st January 2024, and moving fully to our new gift cards, which first came into use in November 2022.

We understand that some of our customers may still hold these paper vouchers, and we want to ensure a smooth transition. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The old paper gift vouchers will no longer be valid for redemption after December 31, 2023. Please make sure to use them before this date to enjoy your shopping experience with us
  • Paper gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for gift cards.

Gift Card and Vouchers Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions Apply to both Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers where applicable:

  1. Gift cards can only be redeemed in Wetherells Department Store. Excluded departments: Hairstyles @ Wetherells, Laveracks at Wetherells and other concessions. Other exclusions may apply.
  2. Once activated, gift cards and vouchers may be used as full or part payment for goods in Wetherells Department Store.
  3. Gift cards cannot be used for online purchases.
  4. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. We do not give refunds on the purchase of gift cards.
  5. Gift cards are excluded from all financing options and cannot be purchased using any form of customer credit.
  6. The gift card will expire 24 months from activation or last use. Making a purchase refreshes the 24-month expiry period. We will not refund any balance remaining and we will invalidate the card.
  7. Gift cards can be purchased with a minimum value of £10. Gift cards have a maximum value of £250.
  8. Please protect your card and treat it as cash; we cannot replace lost, stolen or damaged cards.
  9. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a gift card which we deem to be tampered with, duplicated or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud.
  10. Money can be added to the card at any time before the card expires up to the card’s value limit of £250.
  11. We reserve the right to amend the gift card terms and conditions from time to time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so.
